Herbs

Father Earth Organic Farm offers both organic culinary and organic medicinal herbs. Culinary herbs include: Basil (several varieties), Cilantro, Chives, Oregano, Mint, and Sage. Medicinal herbs include: Motherwort, Comfrey, Lemon Balm, Nettles, Mint, Tansy, Yarrow, Anise Hyssop, Feverfew, and Calendula. Most herbs are available from about Mid July to the frost. Herbs may be sold by the pound or by the "bunch."

	Chopped Chives are delicious raw in salads, or on top of baked potatoes or a bowl of soup or chili. They can also be baked into foods, such as meatloaf, quiche, cornbread, and biscuits. The lovely purple flowers are edible, too.
Feverfew has many medicinal uses.
	Anise Hyssop has a wonderful, delicate licorice-like smell.
